Babylon is committed to bringing the best possible stage design & stellar production to the event for 2019. Each stage is individually designed and curated with state of the art sound, lighting, decor, and production. The 2019 event will feature 3 main stages along with an offering of intimate stages curated by local crews and artists.
BABYLON’S STAGES WILL SHOWCASE A RANGE OF GENRES, INCLUDING:
Bloc 9 is Babylon’s largest stage and features some of the biggest techno and house DJ’s in the word. Set in the future, it is a dystopian playground where inhabitants exercise hedonism and value the free human spirit above all.
In an age where creativity is stemmed, individuality and artistic flare is celebrating in this last ghetto civilisation.
The Hanging Gardens will remain open to enjoy long before and after other stages for the duration of the festival, featuring some of the best progressive house & desert house DJ’s globally.
The Hanging Gardens was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World as listed by Hellenic culture.
Described as a remarkable achievement of engineering with an ascending series of tiered gardens the landmark housed a wide variety of trees, shrubs and vines.
Resembling a large green mountain of mud bricks the Hanging Gardens was said to have been built in the ancient city of Babylon.
The Mandala is Babylon’s most psychedelic stage and features some of the best progressive, Psy-Trance and experimental beat DJ’s in the world.
The Mandala is both a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe.
The Mandala represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.
In various spiritual traditions, Mandala may be employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space as an aid to mediation and trance induction.
